3 Types Of Available Granza Ads:
-
- Free Viral Ad
- Premium Viral Ad
- Premium Outside Ad
Free vs Premium Comparison:
Free Viral Ad, Premium Viral Ad
- Although you can create as many as you wish, only one viral ad can be active at a time. For most Granza users, a free viral ad will work great. For everyone’s protection, all ad types are subject to the competitor blocking rules.
- Since your promo code contains your entire user profile and is automatically embedded into your viral ad, it is very important to have an accurate profile before creating any ad.
- To create a viral ad, in your dashboard, click on the Ad menu and select “Create Ad”. Using the create button, click “Free Viral” or “Premium Viral or Premium Outside”. The wizard lets you move easily through the process.
- Pay attention to each available ad feature as you move through the wizard. They will help you make the best decision. Although it is nice to get clicks and impressions, you do not want “unqualified” customers to contact you. That’s a waste of time and money. It’s ok to experiment. You can always make adjustments later.
- All viral ads appear 100% of the time to your direct Granza referrals, (your Level 1 referrals), 100% on Level 2, 80% on Level 3 and 70% on Level 4)
- All users see 4 non competing user ads on a few screens within a user’s networking account, and on occasional statistics emails sent by Granza and Ads History. (If a premium ad has expired or if any ad targeting options have changed, they will not show up in ad history.)
- To create a premium VIRAL ad, check the box that says, “Go Viral? (Target Downline Only)”.
- If “Go Viral? (Target Downline Only)” is NOT checked, it is called a premium OUTSIDE ad. (More on premium outside ads below). As with any premium ad, be extra careful of the ad targeting preferences you choose. This will help make sure you are not wasting ad dollars on needless clicks and impressions.
- Premium ads require a credit card and a budget (minimum is $50). You can never be charged beyond what you set as a budget, but certainly less. Charges are based on your choice of CPC (cost per user click on the ad) or CPM (cost per thousand times the ad is viewed by users. You are charged as these occur and you are billed monthly. Granza plans on adding features within the ad system at a later date.
Premium Outside Ads
- Premium outside ads are not associated with any viral components because their purpose is different than viral ads. They are not part of any downline or upline. You do not refer new users to Granza for those types of ads to be seen. Premium outside ads will show up immediately, such as in user dashboards and statistical emails to other users.
- To create a premium OUTSIDE ad, leave the box unchecked, that says “Go Viral? (Target Downline Only)”.
- You can create an unlimited number of premium outside ads. Unlike viral ads, premium outside ads can all be active at the same time, with each serving a different purpose. They are great for experimenting or for advertising different products and services.
- Any Granza user may see premium outside ads, subject to your targeting preferences and Granza blocking rules.
- Ad visibility will rotate among others that target the same Granza users.
- A powerful combination to try is a free viral plus a premium outside ad. You get the viral benefits plus immediate exposure. Lots of possibilities.
- As with any premium ad, be extra careful of the ad targeting preferences you choose.
Ad Targeting Options
- Ad targeting is done in Step 2 of the ad creation wizard. If you haven’t selected any specific targeting options, by default, any ads you create will be a nationwide ad. Various options on this step will allow you to better target your audience. These will vary depending on whether you are working with a free viral ad or a premium ad.
- With a free viral ad, one of the targeting options is having only your Level 1 users see your ad. To do this, check “Limit downline to level 1 only”. You would select this box for a couple of different reasons. Example: A sales manager that only wants their information to be seen by the salespeople that have joined using the manager’s promo code. This is the sales managers’ Level 1. Use of Granza by the salespeople would not be affected. The sales manager should check when each new user joins to make sure that they are part of their sales force. For that reason, the promo code must be kept private, within the company.
- Organization targeting directs your ad to Granza users with specific organization types. To do this, check “Target specific organization types”. Then, select the organization types relevant to you. With a free viral ad, you can choose all or target a maximum of 2 specific organization types. (Leave it unchecked to target all organization types.) With premium ads, you can target any combination of different organization types.
- Location-based targeting is another option. By default, “No restrictions – Nationwide Ad” is checked. If having a nationwide ad is not what you need, you can either target users by state or by distance from a specific zip code. With a free viral ad, you can restrict the ad to users within 1 state. With a premium ad, you can restrict the ad to users to any combination of states. Premium ads allow you to target up to 15 specific zip code(s).
- You can choose any available combination of targeting options.
General Ad Information
Existing users should invite new users from anywhere, since they may have customers in your service area. However, your own business ad must only target your actual service area. Example: A single restaurant advertising nationally will generally not be approved. On the other hand, for some businesses, having a statewide or a national presence makes perfect sense. We may provide you with alternate suggestions.
All ads you create are independent from your email marketing campaign images and content. Although you can use the same image(s) and content, you will create them separately. Images you add are shown as a square. You will need to use the image cropper when adding any non square images. It is best to use a high quality square image, 400×400 pixels or more.
As you create an ad, a preview is shown to the right of the screen. That is how your ad will appear to other users.
Understanding your business organization type will help you make the right decisions for each ad. Before any ad can go live, it is reviewed by Granza support. Our job is to help everyone get the most out of Granza.
If you have not completely finished making an ad, save it as a draft before you exit the screen.
If you make any edits to an existing ad, be sure to save it at the last step. Granza re-approval will be required.
Ad Status Terms:
-
- Approved: The ad has been approved by Granza
- Denied: The ad has been denied by Granza
- Enabled: You have enabled an ad
- Disabled: You have disabled an ad
- Draft: The ad is not complete
Below are sample dashboard ads. They can contain a mix of free viral, premium viral and premium outside ads. None are allowed to compete with you or your downline users unless you decide otherwise.
